Is MicroShield® Vista® compatible?

Currently the Grove Software, Inc. radiation software programs are not Vista® compatible. We are currently working on developing new versions to work with Vista®.

Where has MicroShield® been used in the industry?

Do you offer site licenses?

Grove Software, Inc. is pleased to announce that all of our radiation software products are available as a site license. Three options for site licenses are available:

1. Local Area Site License - A Local Area Site License allows for the installation of the software an unlimited amount of times within a 25 mile (40 lm) radius (to allow installation over multiple buildings/locations within one central area). Any computers outside of the 25 mile (40 km) radius must have individual licenses.

2. Wide Area Site License - A Wide Area Site License allows for the installation of the software an unlimited amount of times worldwide.

3. Annual Site License - An Annual Site License allows for the installation of the software an unlimited amount of times within a 25 mile (40 lm) radius for a period of 365 days only that must be renewed to continue to use the software. Any computers outside of the 25 mile (40 km) radius must have individual licenses.

When installing MicroShield®, how do I enter the serial number?

During installation, you will be prompted to enter your company name, serial number, and product key. You should enter the serial number provided in the email you will receive from by Grove Software, Inc. Entering the serial number ensures that it is displayed on the outputs properly.

How do I order your products?

You can order any of our products by downloading the order form and filling it out, and faxing it or emailing it to us.

What are your prices?

What operating systems are currently supported?

All products have been tested on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. However, operating systems prior to Windows 2000 are no longer supported for MicroShield® 6.XX and above and MicroShield® V&V 3.0. These two products generally do work on the older operating systems of WIndows 98, ME, and NT and very few issues have been reported on these older systems. Please see each product description for details.

What is your upgrade policy?

If you currently own MicroShield® version 6.XX, you may upgrade to MicroShield® version 7.XX. If you own RadDecay® version 2.XX, you may upgrade to RadDecay 3.XX. The upgrade pricing can be found on our order form. No upgrades are currently available for any other software products.

What are your license agreements?

We currently offer single user licenses and site licenses for products. Our software license agreements are limited use license agreements:

Technical Questions

How do I output the results in Microsoft Excel® or Microsoft Word® format with MicroShield®?

Once you have successfully executed a case, the results toolbar will be displayed. You can press the Results With Buildup button or the Results Without Buildup button to display the results window. While this window is active, you can select the File Export menu and choose between exporting to Excel or Word.

Does MicroShield address Bremsstrahlung radiation?

Except for infinite plane and infinite slab geometries, buildup factors are taken directly from tables in ANS 6.4.3. As described in the standard, some materials do include the effects of Bremsstrahlung radiation, while others do not. Please consult the standard for more information.
